Janurary 2016,twelve years and two children later, I return to Kohler and made sculptures based on Japanese cast iron teakettles.   Continuing on the idea of  melding of cultural signifiers from the United States and Japan, these small iron sculptures are a playful combination of Nanbu Iron tea kettles of Japan and pop cultural elements; fusing something new and old, East and West.
